2012 BLE Summer Camp Schedule
The BLE Summer Camps are one of the longest running summer baseball camps in North America. Heading the camp for the 15th straight year are Marty Lehn, Scout for the Milwaukee Brewers organization and coach of the 2004 Canadian Olympic team and former Red Sox and Colorado Rockies player, Colin Dixon.
For 2012, the BLE Summer Camp schedule is finalized with a busy summer of BLE Individual Camps and tournaments for all ages under the Mizuno and KR3 headline banner. Owner Marty Lehn, "We are very excited about the 2012 schedule, with camps scheduled for both Oliver and Kamloops. Kamloops will continue to host the KR3 Best of the West Classic tournament (18U/15U) as well as the Mizuno Prospect's Invitational Camp and the Mizuno Showcase Camp. The first class stadium field and facilities sets the bar for summer ball camps and gives players the opportunity to showcase their skills.
2012 camp dates better match the schedules of our campers, allowing them to finish up season and attend camp or bring the whole team to camp to tune up their skills prior to provincials.
- The "opening pitch" for the 2012 BLE camp season will be the MIZUNO JR. Young Gun's 10/12 Camp to be held in Oliver, July 30 to August 5. This camp is designed for players born in 2002 to 2000. This camp is ideal for all skill levels and will be played on a 60 ft/46 ft. diamond with the focus on building the fundamentals of the game. Campers will be playing on TEAM BLE in the KR3 Can Am JR. YOUNG GUN'S 12U Classic tournament held August 3 to 5. Cost of the camp/tournament, including lodging, meals, camp shirt/hat/shorts, camp instruction and tournament shirt, coaching, entry fee and meals and lodging during tournament will be $600. Camp ONLY (July 30 to August 3) cost is $500.
- The MIZUNO YOUNG GUN'S 12/13 Camp held August 6 to 12 in Oliver is designed for players born in '00 to '99 playing on a 70 ft/48 ft diamond. This camp follows the format where campers will work on skill development the first four days of the camp and then represent the BLE as TEAM MIZUNO in the KR3 Can Am YOUNG GUN'S 13U Classic Wood Bat tournament (Aug. 10 to 12). Camp and Tournament will be on a 70 ft./48 ft diamond. Cost of the camp/tournament, including lodging, meals, camp hat/shirt/shorts, Mizuno tournament jersey, tournament fees, coaching and meals and lodging during tournament will be $675. Cost of camp ONLY (Aug. 6 to 10) is $525.
- The MIZUNO FUTURE'S 13/15 CAMP, August 13 to 19 in Oliver, is for players born in '99 to '97 of all abilities who will be playing on 80 ft/54 ft diamond. Campers will be playing on TEAM BLE in the KR3 Can Am Future's 15U Classic tournament held August 17 to 19. Camp and Tournament will be on a 80 ft/54 ft diamond. Cost of the camp/tournament is $675 and includes meals, lodging, camp hat and shirt, shorts, tournament shirt and tournament fees, coaching and meals and lodging during tournament. Camp ONLY (August 13 to 17) cost is $525.
- The MIZUNO PROSPECT's Invitational Camp, August 20 to 26 in Kamloops, B.C. is designed for players from across Canada, born in 1997 only and is by "invitation only." Invitations will be made by Mizuno and BLE personnel, during the 2012 regular season with players being notified in early July. Player Profiles may be submitted for consideration to the BLE office. Players will be evaluated and put into teams that will work and train with their team over the first four days of the camp and then represent the BLE as TEAM MIZUNO in the KR3 Can Am OPEN Classic Wood Bat Tournament (Aug. 24 to 26). Camp and Tournament will be on a 90 ft./60.5 ft diamond. Cost of the camp/tournament, including lodging, meals, camp hat/shirt/shorts, Mizuno tournament jersey, tournament fees, coaching and meals and lodging during tournament will be $675. Cost of camp ONLY (August 20 to 24) is $525.
- The MIZUNO SHOWCASE Camp, August 20 to 26 in Kamloops, is designed for players born in or prior to '96 who are committed to improving their game and taking it to the next level, ie: college or professional baseball. This camp is focused on elevating elite skills and preparation for fall ball tryouts and gives the players the opportunity to highlight their abilities to MLB and college coaches over the full week. Campers will represent Team MIZUNO competing in the KR3 Can Am OPEN Classic Wood Bat Tournament (Aug. 24 to 26). Camp and Tournament will be on a 90 ft./60.5 ft diamond. Cost of the camp/tournament, including lodging, meals, camp hat/shirt/shorts, Mizuno tournament jersey, tournament fees, coaching and meals and lodging during tournament will be $675. Cost of camp ONLY (August 20 to 24) is $525.
- BLE Team Camps are available and will be customized for participating teams. If your team is interested in attending a BLE Summer Camp as a team, we will customize a package for you. This would include working with your team and coaches as well as individual work with the players.

BLE Continues to Partner with KAMLOOPS
The Big League Experience is pleased to announce that it will continue to partner with Kamloops, "Canada's Tournament Capitol" in 2012.
BLE owner Marty Lehn, commented "The BLE campers and tournament teams were very pleased with the facilities that Kamloops offers, so we are excited to schedule our most important camps and tournaments in Kamloops for 2012. The first class facilities at the MacArthur Island Ball Complex including the fully lit stadium add to a successful camp and tournament experience for our BLE guests.

BLE Team Camps
The BLE Team Camps will be customized for participating teams. If you and your team are looking for the ultimate experience getting your team ready for post season, Team Camps are the answer. Team Camps are designed for each team, including their coaches, to work as a unit and build team chemistry and continuity in preparation for upcoming tournaments, district and provincial/state playoffs. Both players and coaches receive individual and team instruction as well as an option of participating in a KR3 Can Am Classic Tournament. The BLE/OSC Camp Referral program continues. If your name is listed in the registration of a NEW camper, you will receive a $25 credit on your camp account. Be sure that your new camper lists your full name in the section that asks "How you heard about us?"
