It's APRIL and ball season is here! Now it's FINALLY time to be out on the field, taking in the skills you and your team have worked on indoors all winter and trying to turn them into wins. It's also time to start thinking about registering for summer camps and or BLE Tournaments. PLEASE remember that your spot is not guaranteed until you have paid your deposit. TAICHUNG, Taiwan – Team Canada Men's Baseball team accomplished its mission in Taiwan and qualified for the Beijing Olympic Games with a 4-3 win over Korea at the Final Olympic Qualifier.

Canada finishes the tournament with a 6-1 record and first place and are returning from Taiwan to their respecting clubs on Saturday, March 15th to finish Spring Training and begin their professional seasons. New to the 2008 BLE Summer Camps is the BLE PNC ID Camp to be held July 14 to 17 in Oliver, B.C. This camp is for elite players, ages 14 to 16 who are interested in being selected for the teams that will represent B.C. at the 2008 Pacific Northwest Baseball Challenge to be held in the Portland, Oregon area, Aug. 16 to 20, 2008. The BLE PNC ID camp will be the only open tryout to be held in B.C. If you are serious about representing B.C. at the PNC event, don't miss this important 4 day camp. The BLE SHOWCASE Camp presents the opportunity for prospective student-athletes, 16 and older, to showcase their abilities to College coaches and Major League scouts. In addition to gaining maximum exposure, players will also receive first rate instruction throughout the week as well as realistic performance evaluation. To ensure personal attention, enrollment in the Showcase Camp is limited, so sign up, today!

The first pitch of the 2008 Big League Experience Tournaments was thrown in Kamloops at the "Best Of The West" U18 Tournament with the NORTH SHORE TWINS of the BCPBL winning the BEST IN THE WEST U18 championship in a tight game against the Langley Blaze.
